Who are we ?
The Association of Practising Cost and Management Accountants (APCMA) was formed in the year 1991 with the main objective of aiding the Cost and Management Accountants in the areas of representation to Statutory Bodies, State Governments, Central Government, Banks, Insurance & Public Sector Organisations for the overall improvement of the Profession. APCMA celebrated Silver Jubilee 1991-2016 during July 2016.
APCMA is there to negotiate with the Audit procedures and implementation with the Government Bodies, Cost Audit Branch, GST, Income Tax, Customs, MCA, BRI and Banks etc., directly. We are the largest All India Registered Body of Professionals under Societies Registration Act, 1860.
We are in the process of representing the matter to CBDT for the Notification of Tax Audit to the Cost Accountant, since the amendment power of Section 288 has been delegated to CBDT vide the Finance Act, 2020. Also, the “Cost Accountant” is included in the Income Tax Act, 1961 under Section 142 and 153 for Inventory Valuation (Stock Audit) vide Finance Act, 2023.
